The Royalty Review Panel hosted public meetings in Grande Prairie,
Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray and Medicine Hat.
Dates and locations of the meetings
People or organizations who wished to make a presentation at
the meetings were encouraged to register in advance to secure
a space.
Presenters were allowed to register on the day of the public
meeting, if space was available.
Members of the public were welcome to observe the proceedings.
Available audience space was filled on a first-come, first-served
basis.
Registered presenters received a confirmation letter, detailing
the date and approximate time of their presentation. Presenters
were encouraged to develop a written document and provide it to
the Royalty Review Secretariat Office for distribution to the
panel members in advance of the meeting dates.
Stakeholder groups were given up to 10 minutes to speak in front
of the panel, while individuals were given up to 5 minutes. The
panel then had time to ask questions or seek further information.
PowerPoint presentations were allowed, provided the Secretariat
received those slides in advance of the meeting. An overhead projector
was available at the meetings.
All community meetings were recorded and transcribed. Copies
of transcripts will
be made available to the public through this website.
